Chaos theory proclaims that a tiny, seemingly insignificant event or circumstance, can have an outsized influence in shaping the way a system evolves.
Broken Surface explores the environment - and the unpredictable effects of small eruptions on its equilibrium. Stillness of surface and time is disrupted to create pattern, disorder, and interference. The works explores collected organic materials and texture, graphically composed to create a hybrid of still-life, juxtaposed with disarray.
