MEGAFAUNA

Megafauna is a body of work that celebrates the powerful sculptural forms of a selection of iconic animal skulls, collected in the nineteenth century. 

These venerated species, have an enduring status going back tens of thousands of  years, evidenced in some of the earliest cave art depicting scenes of reverence, hunting, fear and befriendment.

These skulls have an extraordinary presence invoking emotions from the wonder of natural evolutionary design, to curiosity about consciousness. They also serve as a reminder of the planet's fragile ecosystem and the fear of threat through irresponsible actions of humankind.
